Gut Oggau makes some of the most thrilling, intentional, transparent, ethereal, and sought after wines on planet earth. We’ve been collecting them for years and are planning on opening over a dozen bottles from our stash to show just how captivating they can be. This will include older bottles are rare releases.
About Gut Oggau:
Stephanie and Eduard fell in love and immediately purchased an abandoned vineyard and winery in Austria’s Burgenland. For nearly two decades they have relentlessly pursued communion with nature, planting trees amongst the vines to increase biodiversity, using fermented teas made from wild plants to protect their crop, reintroducing horses to the vineyard, letting the moon cycles dictate their work, eschewing additives in the winery, and considering every impact they have on the planet and the people they employ.
About the Tasting:
Erik will guide you through four flights, more than a dozen wines, illuminating their visionary practices and sharing silly stories about our visits to their home. Lauren will be running the snack counter if you’re feeling peckish.
